Privacy Policy

Nothing. No personal data, no usage analytics, no device identifiers, no location, and no advertising data. There is no sign-up and no account. We have no way to know who you are or that you use the app.

The features that feel like magic all happen locally on your iPhone: the on-device intelligence that writes reading questions, the story narration voice, and the gentle personalization that adapts ideas to your child. None of it involves a server, and nothing is sent anywhere.

Anything you add — a child’s name or emoji, their age, the first words you log, the moments you save — is stored only in the app’s private storage on your device. We never receive it. If you delete the app, it is gone.

Listen is an optional feature that reflects the back-and-forth of a reading session. When you use it, your child’s voice is analysed live, on your device, and is never recorded or stored — unless you explicitly choose to keep a recording, in which case that audio file is saved only on your device and never sent anywhere. The microphone is used only while you are actively in Listen mode.

You may export an encrypted backup of your journey to a location you choose, such as iCloud Drive or the Files app. It is sealed with a passphrase that only you know and that we never receive — we cannot read it. Where a backup is stored after you save it is governed by that service’s own privacy terms (for example, Apple’s for iCloud Drive).

Serve & Return is designed for parents and caregivers to use. It is not directed at children for independent use, and it collects no personal information from anyone — including children. By collecting nothing, the app is consistent with children’s-privacy rules such as COPPA and the GDPR provisions for children.

There are no third-party analytics tools, advertising networks, trackers, or software development kits that collect data in this app. Your information is not shared with anyone, because it is never collected in the first place.
